Why I do it.

I started doing this because I've been there. When I was struggling the most it was my furry best friend Piper that got me through it. In return I have tried to make her life as amazing as she has made mine. Fast forward a few years and we are doing great. Along my journey I met a lot of fellow travelers with fur babies. One thing we all had in common was our dog always came first. Giving them food for their dog gives them one less thing to stress about and allows them to focus more on feeding themselves.

The biggest inspiration however that got me started doing this was watching my mother. She built an amazing non-profit from the ground up that crafts amazing quilts for children that have suffer trauma. As if that wasn't enough she began putting together kits to hand out to homeless people she met in her daily life.

I'm not rich by any means but if she could do all that then the least I could do is buy a few big bags of dog food, divvy them up in bags and hand it out to people that need it. I think everyone has something to give whether it be dog food for a homeless pup or something as simple as being kind to a stranger. Kindness costs nothing and is something we can all afford.

If anything about this resonates with you I encourage you to check out the non-profit my mom created. www.vlbatmanproject.org
